The foyer wallpaper is almost all down and we are looking at color options. What do you think? http://img175.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... oodam8.jpg Benjamin Moore - Driftwood (I used the BM program to insert the color) This is what our foyer used to look like: http://profile.imageshack.us/user/boatn ... 004lo8.jpg BTW: We are also replacing the stairway carpeting.
I like it a lot, Boatnut, I think it's a very nice color choice. I'd be impressed, as a potential buyer.
very cool looking I like the steps better with the solid color..The other way looks too confusing......I have a small entrance like it an mine is solid white.. But your color is good.. I just got tired of choosing colors all over the house and went to white an part paneling. b
I thought the stripes were OK until I saw what you are going to do. It looks great!!! Everything seems much bigger and cleaner now. Definately a vast improvement. :-D
She is correct........ being you have the natural banister and the posts are white, that was too much strippy........ my banister and posts are both Oak.......and it goes well with white........Beige or carmel look like yours goes good...... b
color... Can't see much of tile floor but new color appears to be a great match!!! looking good....potential buyers like a clean slate...
clean and neat I watch HGTV lots, selling homes..... And they say elimate the clatter in the house.....to sell..... He did just that.. Too little stuff on the walls and rooms works best. Anyone else watch that? barb
We will live with the carpeting until the painting is complete so we can get a better feel for what goes well. It is obviously a high traffic area and we will probably go with something with a shorter pile and perhaps with a small pattern.
Read my lips....berber...berber...berber, you can't beat it!!! wears like iron and cleans so easily...
We have berber in my office and in the family room. How does it handle being bent over stairs treads?
I believe I read on a decorating forum that you test good berber by bending it back? also you could put step nose moulding on each step, if you see a problem?
