I played hide and seek with a pair of orioles this afternoon. I didn't suceed in getting the females picture. I only got her flying away and I might post that one tomorrow. It's a neat picture. I did get a couple of the male but I was too far away and I didn't use the zoom lense. I will try again tomorrow. I wondered why my big hummingbird feeder under the grapevines was going empty so fast. Now, I know. Dooley

He is so pretty. I really need to sit still in the yard once and a while and look at nature instead of always rushing about.

They are great and such beauties. Hubby is on the lookout for ours. They come when the big red honeysuckle is in bloom and rob nectar by piercing the blooms. Ours like oranges too. 8)

Glad to see an oriole. My husband will soon be watching for them in our yard and then we will go through a lot of grape jelly - his favorite food for them.

Maybe if I put out a bowl of jelly I will get a better picture of him. Can't you just see a bird with jelly all over his face and his mom calling him to get his face washed? Dooley
