Now, here are a few other flowers. I don't have a lot blooming now. Maybe due to the heat stress or not. This is a portulaca, if that's the right spelling. To look it up I would have to get up and disturb Chance's nap. This must be a wildflower, I didn't plant it. There are several more of them in the lower back yard. Some poppies. They are lasting a long time this year. another wild flower or noxious weed, horse nettle. Since it wasn't four o'clock these aren't really blooming. some little coreopsis starting to bloom. They should bloom all summer. and the African daisies are doing good. Dooley
I like the horse nettle, and of course the African daisies are beautiful. Everything looks great dooley.
I really like the African daisies and those horse nettles too but I think the very best piccie is the one of your portulaca as it's such a lovely colour. :-D
The only problem with horse nettle is that is is just full of fine stickers. If you get one in your finger, it's impossible to get out. Then, they grow everywhere and if you reach down to pull it your hand is full of stickers. I can't figure why such an obnoxious weed has such a pretty flower. Dooley
