Watched an otter walk into the water, swim out a few yards and then come back in with a fish,Starry Flounder. otter and Starry Flounder..JPG

Great photo Kildale. Do many otters live in your area?

OK now I'm really green with envy!!:smt088 I've only seen wild otters twice in my life and never managed to get a photograph. The first time I saw them was on the Isle of Skye and they were playing at the edge of the water. At the time I didn't have a decent camera so I just had to sit quietly and watch them while cursing under my breath that I couldn't get a shot of them. The second sighting was one swimming in our local river but it was too dark to snap it. :smt090

That's a great photo! I've seen one otter before and it was trying to open a clam with a rock. It was great watching it but, of course, no camera!
