As usual after the construction workers pack up for the day, I'll be in my yard doing house keeping because I do not want the small pieces of construction debris/materials to be buried. So with a bucket I go around to pick up small pieces of timber, spilled cement, broken bricks, nails, etc-etc and I felt a sharp pain on my left leg.

KK, They are so dangerous you have to chain them down so those kind of things don't happen.

Did you need to get any type of shot KK? Whenever I think of rebar I just think of it in a rust-covered state

Make sure your Tetanus shots are up to date. Rebar is always biting me since next to zip ties they are my most used gardening tool.

The rebar's bite must be worse than its bark. :) The last rebar I came in contact with is buried in 2 feet of concrete footing. Even the odd pieces were thrown for good measure. Stay safe KK, your construction must be ending soon.

I hope you cleaned that cut well KK as I'd hate to think of it getting infected.

Thank you all for the sympathy and concern :-D I am all good now and is ready to charge into the "war zone" with my bucket to catch those short sneaky rebars :D

Stratsmom, just let me know if any are still there, I'll disarm them for you.

Thanks Barb, I am getting good at seeking them out and taking them into custody with a magnet.:D

No Frank there is no need for a shot, I think I have thick skin :D

Thanks Toni, it is just superficial and Becky had been giving it lots of TLC :-D

Thanks Jerry but barking rebar don't bite, just the silent ones that is lying in wait is the most dangerous kind hehe!!! Maybe about another month hopefully.

Thanks Chocolate, luckily those rebar are not the kissing kind eh?

Thanks Eileen, the wound is healing well, Becky had been putting lots of antibiotic cream on it. :-D

Thanks Koszta Kid, it is fun running the magnet around and discovering all kind of metallic things the magnet pick up. I've got almost half a bucket full of metals, mostly nails.
