Our visit with Jane and Walt was a super good day. They are a really good host and hostess. We had a lot of fun conversations, at least the ones I heard. My hearing is not all it should be these days but still I enjoyed the visit and the luncheon, especially the dessert. Now, on the subject of chicken petting. I find chicken petting to be extremely relaxing. If you do it properly it is also very relaxing for the chicken and it will fall asleep, which is a good thing. I have always said, "a well rested chicken is a happy chicken." Or maybe I am just getting old and a lot stranger.

Sounds like everyone had a good day, even the chickens must have enjoyed the festivities. I will see some chickens in September, I will ask the owner if he pets his chickens.

I too agree that chicken petting is relaxing. Until they get spooked and you are hit with the fury of 1000-flapping wings :D
Glad you guys had a great time DR!
