We have had night time temps in the 40's this week. This morning it is 45f. Do you have any idea how cold that is to pick sweetcorn? Dripping wet and cold...!

Weird...but we are experiencing the same low night temps. Not good for the toms.

Agree....not good for tomatoes. I am having the same weather.

Just watch....we will get hot, hot, hot, and all the millions of tomatoes will ripe all in one day. Then I will be doing the can, can, can....

One year, when I didn't have a veggie garden, many years ago, I bought 800 pounds of tomatoes. I did it in two trips. They were, you pick your own, for 10 cents a pound. That was work...I shared my sauce with my MIL. :p

It would be nice if we had more even weather...

It was 48°F here two mornings in a row, and rainy. It sure felt like fall! I have dubbed this month 'Augtober' because it has been so cold. My peppers and cucumbers aren't very happy out there...

Brrr! It has been cold here too. I have begun thinking of August as being two parts summer & one part fall.

Well, it is 2:20pm now and very nice out...what I wouldn't give for some moderation here. All Summer has been this way. The toms are starting to really show some stress. I hope I can get them through to Fall. I can't even grow cukes. The cuke beetles are decimating them as they pollinate. :-x :scheming:
