This is a beautiful community garden in our city. 100 + years ago when this site was on the outskirts, it was a trash dump. As the city grew around it, it was emptied and a garden area created. It has fish ponds, fountains, and lovely garden “rooms” featuring trees, shrubs, perennials, tropicals and annuals designed in various themes. It is truly a must visit site every year. I have the privilege of being acquainted with a few of the designers that have worked on this project year after year.
Very impressive project. Lovely azaleas, rhody’s, shrubs and tree. Now that’s a fantastic layered look many home gardeners try to achieve.
It is a beautiful gem in Lincoln. This pic is just a slice of it. My son was married there in September of 2014. It was a gorgeous setting
Hiya Kay, thank you so much for this posting. I don’t know what was better— seeing the mahvelous blooming garden scene behind you, or seeing YOU ! Haha. Really though, it is so good to see you again.
The hands of a gardener and nothing better than the smile of a gardener presenting the full range of flowers to bring on the happiness of spring . Listen to what they are saying…
