We knew it was coming, the weathermen were excited to have some real weather to report. Woke to about 5" of heavy, wet snow and it's still coming down. This is the winter that we are suppose to have, but this year there has been very little snow and record high temperatures.
I am seeing some pretty patterns the snow has created.

Global warming has not tempered Old Man Winter's bag of tricks. It looks nice for a few minutes till you have to reach for the snow shovel. Maybe I should hire a 'Rain Dancer' before it gets here. I wonder if a DVD would work. :)

Snow's lovely when it clings to trees and other stuff and make lovely patterns. :D But lots of clingy snow makes for some serious tree damage too, so I hope your next snow will be light and fluffy.

We're still waiting for our snow. We've had one proper snowfall this winter, and I kind of like to have some snow on the ground during the darkest months.

Fantastic snow pictures and patterns. Almost like looking a clouds and figuring out what they look like. For instance... in the first photo, I see a flamingo and in #4 I see a duck (looking down). :stew2:

We got about 3/4 of an inch of snow this morning, but now it has stopped and is melting. It too was heavy and wet.

Hey Cheryl- Good eye! The pic of my deck...#4
The snow is covering an iron planter that is the shape of a turkey! ;)
We ended up with around a foot. It is so wet, a pain to shovel. We are old-school, no snow blower here.
Yesterday, while walking down the street, we saw quite a lot of tree damage. Gettin the chain saw ready now, we're going to help the neighbor get things cleaned up.
My boss is happy, they do snow removal, and tree work. So they'll be getting some work.
