The alcohol version, what we made is not Irish by a pure definition of the word because we couldn't afford a bottle of Irish Whiskey so we used Southern Comfort. But with a little tweeking, this recipe makes a very good copy of the original. 1 cup light cream 1- 14oz can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk) 1 2/3 cup Southern Comfort, add more if needed 2 Tablespoons of chocolate syrup, more if you like a stronger chocolate flavor 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high for about a minute. Makes 4 cups. Bottle in a mason jar, empty spirits bottle or other sealable container and refrigerate. Shake well before serving and will keep for 2+ months in fridge.
Like DaisyBeans I'm crazy about sweetened condensed milk.I can't had the Whiskey because of my meds.It sure sounds good.I would love a Mud Slide about right now
That sounds like a good Irish Creme to me, but anything that has chocolate in it is a winner! KB on the other hand would say it is too sweet. lol. men! He makes his with coffee, brown sugar, and whiskey, no creme even,,,he don't know whats good i tell you. I'm not sure i know what sweetened condensed milk is. But it sounds sweet!
