Despite the chilly weather our little tree peony decided to open up today. The label on it said "pink" I think, but I've lost the label. Anyway, it's not pink:

Our "Ulla" orchid has coloured out, and looks a lot better now:

The Oxalis are still at it, they've been really long lasting this year:

Meconopsis "Hensol Violet" is also blooming again this year, despite the less-than-optimal space we chucked it in:

And the Parahebe and white Oxalis with the big blooms are looking good together:

Well, that's that for now. I spotted a bloom on one of the Sibirian irises, so I guess they're next.

Well Droopy--you've gone and done it again haven't you. What an array of gorgeous and splendid examples you have shone us this time.
That tree peony may not be pink per se...but it is an enchanting colour...almost rose-like.
Your orchid is colouring up nicely and that Oxalis "Ione Hecker" really is impressive, I must say!
I wonder if rabbits like to eat those. It looks like a good ground cover for just outside the fence at the old lottie.
Well, after a quick look--I see that it would be too expensive for what I want to use them for. I'd probably need 40 bulbs or so. Whew--that'd be expensive!

Nevermind. These pics are so beautiful to see. Could you show a pic from a short distance away of that tree peony so that I can see it's foliage?
There is a lady in the garden next to me that has one of those but it is showing no signs of blooming as of yet.

p.s. I forgot to use the 'C 'word-- Congratulations. :)

Ok Droopy--well can you say if the foliage is shiney green or sort of rusty-green?
Anyway...it is a beautiful bloom and a great accomplishment.
I would like to se KL's as well, if possible.

Well, Sjoerd, I'd say it's mid-green, not shiny, with reddish edges. The new leaves are sort of rusty, both on this one and the one next to it.

(I can't find out where I put my camera after I emptied it last evening!)
