Had a good day in the woods, took 7 new species of fungi and a couple of mosses. The woodland strawberries were in full bloom along with the mosses that have enjoyed the recent rains.

That first shot is really lovely. I can imagine my living room covered in wallpaper with a pattern just like that on it.

It is one of the brighter mosses.

I suddenly realized I have to stop and look at the moss before I throw myself on it. :D I like moss because it's soft, and now I'll like it better, because it's pretty too.

I now have 39 pictures of different species of moss. They are great to photograph and to see the differences.

I'll have to take a better look also. Always just took it for granted. Like Droopy, i just either lay in it or walk across it, so soft and bouncy when its super thick.
