Last Sat. morning I was feeling great! Did a little work in the yard and enjoyed being out in the sunshine. Sat. afternoon, I wasn't feeling quite so good. Thought maybe I over did it in the morning. Laid down for a nap and woke up after an hour really feeling worse. After a week of self treatment, I think it's more that just a cold. Now my COPD had kicked up. So going to the Dr. today to see what's going on.
No no! Don't you be getting any sicker!! Please let us know what the Doctor says, OK? And TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!
Yeah, I tend to self medicate too and it's almost always a dumb idea. Glad you are going to the Doctor. Take care and keep us updated on how you are doing.
Try and let us know how you are CK and what the doctor says. Hopefully soon you'll be feeling much better. Until then we're all sending you good wishes and lots of hugs.
Not as bad as I thought I was. Just a really bad cold. She had a chest exray done to make sure it wasn't pneumonia or bronchitis. Which it came back negative for that. She put me on an antibiotic for 5 days and continue the over the counter cough meds. I even feel better this morning. The problem is that with the drugs I am on for my heart, restricts me somewhat as to what they can give me for a cold. The interaction can keep one or more from working correctly.
I am glad your x ray came back alright... I know exactly what you mean when you said the medication is restricted because of other health problems. My husband is the same way. Which makes it hard to even try and medicate at home. Take care and I hope you are feeling yourself really soon.
Thank goodness it's not a chest infection. Rest and drink plenty of fluids and, hopefully, you'll be feeling much better over the next few days.
If "a really bad cold" can be good news, this is the time! I'm so happy it isn't something worse, and something that can be treated at home. As others said, take it easy, don't overdo, and drink lots of fluids. Let us know of your progress (the good thoughts, prayers, and hugs are still coming, though!)
