This is the flower bed we see out our back door: From our back door ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) This spring has been very strange--cold days following warm days, lots of rain, then nothing for two weeks. If our flowers survive, they are hardy! Clytemnestra rose in the shade ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) This Clytemnestra rose is probably my favorite. I love the color, the light scent, and the fact that it winds its way up the big Ashe Juniper in the middle of the flower bed. The Marie Pavie rose is an antique rose, and will grow almost anywhere. She doesn't mind the dapple shade the juniper gives. Bees like it, and it adds a "spire" to the garden that has a lot of "flat" faced flowers. Okay Cheryl, hint taken--it's kind of hard to find a day that isn't too windy for photos, but I'll do my best! Happy you like the view.
I know about days that are too windy for photo's. We've had a lot of wind this spring. Lots of up and down weather and when it rains it's two tenth of an inch. I was out your back door and it didn't look like that. One of these days I'll have to come and look out it again. dooley
I love the view out your back door! I just can't wait to see some color outside of MY back door too! Come on spring, where are you?
