dr and I spent almost all day outside. I went out this morning and raked up the scrubby youpon and threw it over the fence. I'll have to go clean that up one of these days. Then, instead of cutting more scrubby brush I went into the back yard and started digging the small vegetable garden. I got it all dug and only have the big section to do tomorrow. I pulled weeds around all the crepe myrtle bushes and a red kind of bush that we planted last year. I raked dry grass off one section and fed it to the goats. Chance helped and kept the goats from climbing the fence. Brian worked on the greenhouse. He's using 6 panels of frosted shower glass on the side and he has glass panels for the roof and an edging that can be opened for venting. He got about of the side panels up today. We have shelves to put in it. I guess I will have to find a book about using a greenhouse because I haven't had one before this. It's built on a trailer so it's up off the ground. He's going to build steps to get into it so I won't have to climb. It's about 16 foot long and four foot wide and I don't know how high. But it will hold my seeds to get them started and maybe some plants in pots next winter. We'll see how it works. Tomorrow is going to be nice so maybe I can get some more stuff done outside before it rains on Saturday and Sunday. dooley
We need photographs Dooley - especially of the greenhouse. How exciting to have one of your very own. You're going to wonder how you ever did without it once it's up and running.
Oh, Dooley, a greenhouse! You will be the envy of everyone on the Stew that doesn't have one. Give Brian and Chance a hug for us--you have such good helpers! :-D
It's not done yet but the side is finished. The hard part will be taking the heavy windows up the ladder for the roof. I've been digging again. Dug all around the rose bushes and about a third of the big garden. Rest time!! dooley
