What luck!! I hardly ever see the owls we have around here although I do hear them on a regular basis.

I find owls majestic, even the small ones. And cute. :D Lucky you, Kildale, to get to see one of those.

I had a barred owl on the deck one night, when I went out through the door I think it was going to get me till the last second when it must off noticed I wasn't prey, It was just inches above me. It landed on the deck so I went in and got the camera.

Beautiful pictures. I've only had a glimpse of owls in the wild one time, hope to see one or two again at some point. Enjoy seeing the great photographs.

Fantastic photos Kildale! I once got the pleasure of seeing a Great Horned Owl. It was a sight I'll never forget.

Kildale- Great shots! Aren't Owls fascinating?
When I lived in Colorado, we had a Great Horned Owl that lived up in the tree at the back of our property. It was fun to walk back there and gaze at him sitting way up high in the tree, and then of course hearing the hoots in the night.
