Just to add variety to my video making - I this time decided to record a match between the national hockey teams of China and Pakistan.

Since over the last 7 years, there have hardly been any sports activity in Pakistan (due to the war on terror). However, the Chinese now decided to send in their national team to play 5 matches, 2 of which were played in the city of Karachi - Thus ending the vacuum of sports.

Due to the high security, this historic stadium which would otherwise have been jam-packed with almost 60,000 people - Now only held a few 100. But the match was otherwise fun to watch.

Field Hockey has always been Pakistan's national sport. And we have many times won the Hockey World Cup, as well as wining the gold in the Olympics.

The visiting Chines team is in Yellow, while we are playing in our traditional colors of Green and White (which are the colors of the Pakistani flag).

Anyway, below is the link for it - ENJOY! :)

Looks like the home team did not have any problems winning. How did the other games turn out?

Well, we won all 5 matches. The Chinese team lost every single one, as they are after all new comers to this sport (when compared to Pakistan).

But that is not what this friendly tournament was all about. It was actually to break the dry spell, the near total lack of sports activity in Pakistan (due to obvious reasons).

And now of course, the Chinese have invited our team to play in China! :)

    Thanks Droopy. :)
Our team however had been playing international matches all over the world. But the problem was that no other team would now come to Pakistan and play.

Which is why Field Hockey (which is actually our National Sport) was suffering. Even this Stadium, was falling into neglect. And this is a Stadium where many historic matches had been played, many international records were broken, and new ones also established.

Now however this Stadium had caught the eye of the Land Grabbing Mafia, who wanted to destroy it and build some huge shopping mall in it's place. There was a very big park, as well as a practice pitch for Field Hockey next to the Stadium - Which unfortunately the Land Mafia did mess-up to a great extent years ago.

But now that the Stadium is once more being played in. They will just have go elsewhere to find another piece of land to destroy...
