    My brother in Ohio does the very same thing! He uses them for firewood too.

    The pallets he finds are made of oak of all things. What are yours made of?

    Nice going cappy! I'm a 'Simple Man' myself. Can't go wrong with some Lynyrd Skynyrd. A nice fire and a couple a cold ones to make the day complete.

    The vast majority of them are oak and since they are untreated they are great fro weenie roasting every once and a while I come across a pine one they are very light burn quick and smoke black from the resin

    neighbor had a tree service cut some branches of his big oak trees so I added a few branches to my stock. The green oak burns very slow and makes a good back log fire
