Oh now I want black pansies!!! My 'must have' list is getting longer and longer. I would love to see them in my garden planted amongst white and orange ones as I think they'd make a real statement.

Oooh, lovely ones! :D I like the pansies with little faces, but that black one is a rare beauty.

We've got a perennial black pansy from my gardening hero in Molde. It's named after her too, I'm very proud to have it.

Thank you Gardengirl and Droopy, How wonderful to have a plant named after your gardening Hero and a black pansy at that, If I can find the packet of seeds for the black one I will tell you the name of them.

Found the seed packet they are Pansy 'Black Beauty' the company is Carters Tested Seeds and they are in Paignton England. I really cant recall where I picked these up from. Id hazard a guess that I got them from Wilkinsons as they have a 1/2 marked price label on them. which would have made the pack of 140 seeds 35p.
