The paparazzi were after my daughter today. Okay, it was I who took the picture, but she really didn't want her picture taken! Looks like all the royals, who try to avoid photographers, huh? I took this at lunch after we'd been to Mass this morning. Appropriate here, I reckon, because she's the most beautiful thing I've ever grown! [/img]
She really is very pretty! I'm sure she'll realize it soon enough and the camera will become her best friend!
Poor lass. You might have let her finish her lunch forst WT. No woman looks her best whilst eating and your gorgeous daughter knows the rules of photography!!!
I've got a shotgun I bought for grouse hunting, but never have time to use. And an old rocking chair. Have you got a nice, wide porch WTxDaddy?
Porch The back porch is long and narrow, but has 2 rocking chairs on it. There's a bench on the tiny front porch. I possess no firearms, however. I don't oppose people having them, I just never cared for them. I think I may go purchase a replica of a samurai sword and just be polishing that whenever any suitors show up. Of course, I hope to be able to strike that balance between preventing misbehavior and allowing her to stretch her wings. I don't know how it's done exactly, but I'm going to try. My goal is for her to get through college before anything serious ever develops in the romance department and for the boys in high school to fear her as much as me. My sister-in-law punched a boy in the face at age 5, when he kissed her on the school bus. She also had a boy trying to get her alligator floatie from her in the swimming pool - she beat him over the head with it. I hope my daughter will be the kind of girl, who would just as soon beat up a boy, as look at him - 'til she comes of age, that is. To me, that age is 35.
I adore the way you share your love and affection for your girl! I think the sword-idea is great. As for self-defence, send her to Tae-Kwon-Do. Wonderful exercise, and good for balance and muscle strengh.
self-defense For self-defense, I may have her take classes in Tomiki-do aikido. I took this in college and enjoyed it.
trouble And Tuesday, my daughter got in trouble at school for running during clean-up time. She told us, she was trying to get away from a boy, who was trying to kiss her. Yes, kiss her! At her pre-school, we had numerous reports from her of boys kissing her and we admonished her always, not to let the boys kiss her. A neighbor's boy kissed her on the cheek right in front of me one day. I told the dad, "Curb your son!" My father constantly points out my daughter's prettiness and tells me, I'm going to have trouble. My brother has 2 lovely daughters in the Dallas area. He and I plan on sticking the 3 girls in a convent, where they can become the meanest 3-on-3 nun basketball team in Texas!
Sounds like a great plan! On the other hand blonde, blue-eyed people are a minority, and you don't want to be partly responsible for their extinction, do you?
extinction Well, she can donate ova to a fertility clinic and then, her blonde-haired & blue-eyed genes can go on....
