I was told you can't grow parsnips in Va. Well I proved them wrong. And they are yummy.

That seems an odd statement. You obviously had great success. Nice parsnips!!

Why wouldn't you be able to grow them? It looks like you proved the person who told you wrong though :D

Nice 'snips, Donna. Mine are not quite ready to lift. I really enjoy these veggies and get a bit itchy to harvest about this time of year. We have already had a couple of light frosts, so maybe I will be harvesting sooner rather than later.

I find it curious to hear that parsnips would not grow in Virgina.

So good to see your harvest. Oo, I'm soooo jealous.

Great for you Donna! Parsnips are best after a frost...is that why she thought they wouldn't grow there? Not cold enough? Enjoy them!

I have a farmers market on Sat. I am out digging potatoes for it today and I am sweating. It is 60 here. I will also pull the beets for it on Friday and I am hoping my broccoli grows enough by sat to pick it...with it as warm as it is maybe I will get a miracle. It is supposed to be warms for a while this week.....
