A neighbor brought over a cutting from her Passion Flower vine. I've lived near them for 7 years and never noticed it. So naturally, after seeing the flower, I had to have some of this vine! She dug up a clump for me. Can't wait to grow my own!

Oh yeah.... hubby says he knew them as May Pops... "they may pop open and they may not"
I just love all the colors!

And with the days getting shorter, I was able to see yet another bloom on my Moonflower. I don't know if it's just my plant or not... but there was no fragrance. What's up with that??

Gorgeous blooms, I forgot to get some planted last spring

The Gulf Fritillary caterpillar loves Passionflower too, plant plenty of vines so they get their fill and you still get some flowers. They can strip a vine in no time, but it is worth it to have those bright orange butterflies flitting around the yard.

I love that color of the passion flower. Its so pretty. Your moonflower is pretty too. I noticed a white flower in my garden a few days ago. Supposedly a moonflower maybe, but it was out during the day. I didn't notice a fragrance to mine either.

What a lovely thing your passion flower is. Mine died last year and I really must get around to replacing it.

Cheryl that Passion flower is drop dead gorgeous. And the close up of the inside of it is amazing.

Those Passion Flower fotos really are nice to see. They do not do so well in my part of the country, although I know some folks that do grow them with no problem at all. I may give them a try again next year.

Here's wishing you good luck with yours. :)

Congratulations on your lovely passion flower! I've tried them as house plants, and it's "May Pop's" indeed. :D

I can't wait to see some of these in my own garden. Hopefully it'll grow fast and flourish!
