A friend of mine sent me this link about the behind the scenes making of a PBS film about hummingbirds. It is over 9 min. long, and stopped many times while I was watching it, but it was worth it. Hope it works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjnc1kHMDDo
I'm so glad your friend sent you the link as the film was amazing. It's hard to credit that something as small and delicate looking as a hummingbird can be so tough and live in such extreme conditions. I found out something new too from watching too - that hummingbirds are insectiverous as well as being nectar eaters. A magical piece of filmaking and worth every second of the thougsands of hours it took to make. The only disappointment was that the film wasn't longer as I found myself really engrossed in it. Thank you for sharing it with us all. :-D
Lovely video! It reminding me of how much I love watching these little guys in my garden. Maybe THIS will be the year I finally capture them on film
