One of the volunteers brought two big bags of peaches to the library today. She said they were really ripe. I could smell them all day. As we were leaving, she said someone should take them because they wouldn't last until Monday. So, I brought them home with me. I can make a few jars of jam or a couple of peach pies. DR is voting for jam. So, we shall see what tomorrow brings. Dooley

Pie sounds good to me - warm from the oven. It is cool here today and warm pie sounds good.

The last of the peaches are in around here. I like them so ripe you have to eat them over the sink. Peach ice cream is mighty fine also. 8)

When we were in Georgia (the Peach State) we went to a peach orchard. They had home made peach ice cream that was to die for. I was half peaches and half ice cream. Was it ever good. You could only buy it by the styerfoam cup full, but it was a huge serving for $1.50. About 3 dips in all. :D

I made two large peach pies with crumb topping and two little peach pies with no crust, but crumb topping. They are still hot, but I'm thinking I'll be sneaking one of the small ones in a while, with cream too. Dooley

Peaches are ready in this area also. I only buy three or four at a time so I am not tempted to bake pies or cobbler.

One pie got split between the neighbors and the other we ate half of for supper, Dan, Brian and myself. They were made with fructose which is not as bad as sugar so I didn't have cream on mine. Dooley
