pear update

I picked all of my pears and made pear butter. It tastes really yummy.

 

I want a Pear Tree really badly!
What is Pear butter?

Pear butter is made by cooking pears, putting them through a colendar so they resemble applesauce, adding sugar and a bit of salt and then cooking it down and putting it in jars. It is a very thick spread to put on toast, etc.

 

Sounds good. Add a little ginger. Makes it even better.

Richard's Mom and aunts made pear honey and I never did get the recipe. It was very delicious.
