These were bought on the sale table at Lowes, gotta love that thing except for the fact that most plants do not have ID tags of any sort. There were three on the table, a pink, a blue and an almost dead one of unknown color. There was a tag in the almost dead one but did I take the tag to put in one of mine? NOOOOO. AAARRRGGG.

I have been looking at photos of other Penstemon and have gotten myself very confused with no definite ID coming from the effort.

Anyone have a clue or even a guess?

Ok Toni, but this is just a guess!
The top one could be "Sour Grapes" and the second one "Alice Hindley".
    Just a guess :D

I think penstemons are very hard to ID, since some cultivars look so alike. It's the same with hostas. Good luck with trying to find out which penstemons you've got. They're lovely. :D

Say Toni--could you take more fotos of the blue one's blooms? Like from the side and different angles.

Thanks for the guesses you all. I had a feeling that all the cultivars would be an IDing nighmare just like the Hostas.

Sjoerd, if they bloom again I will take better photos of the blue ones.

Not knowing for sure how large they will get is the main problem...where do I plant them. Some I have found info on only get about 2feet tall and then there are some that are larger.
Think I'll just get them in the ground and move them next year if need be.
