Todays suprises Peonys in bloom . THis is a really deep color red but the camera seems to lighten it lots . Maybe I will go out at dark and try it . bali

Beautiful!!!! You certainly have a huge established Peony bush there! Lucky you! Red is my favourite colour in the garden so I too have a red Peony like yours only mine is quite a bit smaller. I sure cannot wait for it to grow big and beautiful like yours. Seeing your red Peony in full bloom makes me anxious to see mine when it gets as big as yours. The red peony I have is in bloom right now too but the petals are starting to fall, which is sad. But there is still some large clumps of double pink peonys in other parts of the gardens that haven't opened yet. Thank you for sharing your picture.
Those are gorgeous Barb! I don't have a red one...I'll have to remedy that! Mine should be opening soon, I can't wait!
Thanks every one it is an older plant a deeper red color........I have 2 there. The other is smaller. Also receive a white one from a friend this spring. Not in bloom. Thanks for the kind words.. All of you . Guess they like cold winters.. Ours was mostly ice.
