This plant is a perennial which tells me its not Elephant Ear. Rhubarb?? I doubt it though... Im probably going to dig it up, whatever it is. Its too big for where it is. I think theres some smaller ones that grow in the bed, or maybe I dug those up...I cant remember :D

Jen that looks like burdock to me, not rhubarb. I think you will find it has a somewhat fuzzy/hairy leaf and petiole, rhubarb is very smooth...I will go get you a picture of mine...be right back. Here you go...

Leaf is wider triangle and is very smooth

The stem is also smoother than burdock and is redder than burdock. Burdock's new growth is almost purple.

The flower, which needs to be pulled off asap. otherwise it will go to seed and the petioles aren't as nice anymore, they get tough. and quit making new growth.

Do you need it for something? The root is a tap root not really transplantable.

If it was my flowerbed...I would do my best to get it out of there asap....it will go to seed eventually and be everywhere in the garden pretty soon.
