Gorgeous colours and plants! I would love to get them growing in my balcony. What are they? Can they tolerate hot and sunny weather with high humidity?
The first 3 are Astilbe.....the 4th are called Lupins(they grow wild along the road side here) and the last is called Goats Beard. All need a winter freeze to survive. Take care GG
OO Lovely!!! The third photograph jumps off the page at you - it's a gorgwous colour. I was collecting wild lupin seeds earlier this year and am going to give them a try in the garden. Thanks for sharing some of your garden with us.
I would strongly advise you not to plant them in your Garden as they will quickly take over. I made a hill side bed for them to spread. I planted 6 plants and now have 100's in just 3 years. The best way to grow them is to dig up the wild plant in the Spring as it starts to break through the ground. It is very difficult to do so from seed. Good luck Take care GG
Lovely Astilbe! I really like the hot pink. Your Lupins are so pretty too, with their shades of blue. Thanks for the colour show!
I love the lupins and the lacy look of the others. Maybe I will try some when we get moved. I don't know how much freezing weather we will get though. I'll have to ask Glenda. dooley
What a lovely burst of colour. I am in awe. Absolutely gorgeous. You have a great garden and all the space. Simply lovely. In the last picture: What are those plants called with the variegated leaves?
HOSTA Hi Thank you for your comments. The variegated plants are called "Patriot" it is a variety of Hosta. http://images.google.ca/images?client=f ... 1&ct=title
Lovely Rhododendron! I really like the red one, which is it? We've got lots of Hosta's too, but I don't think we have "Patriot". I think I see more Hostas in your border, please show more photos!
Hi You are quite welcome I also posted photos under the headings "flower photography" and "pampas grass". Let me know what you think. Take care GG
What a beautiful garden you have gardeningguy. So lovely to see your beautiful plants just as ours have all died down for the winter. Thanks for sharing and for cheering me up on this damp November evening
