Been making Bar B Que Sweet pickles all morning! It takes about 4 or 5 hours to make them. They have to be soaked in brine for 4 days and then boiled 3 different times in different batches of mixture. But they come out a crisp, sweet pickle that is great with most anything. If anyone wants, I will post the recipe in the recipe section. We have made 3 gallons of them today, from a 1/2 bushel of salad picking cucumbers. I had the local grocery order them for me and had to pay $1.99 a lb. But the 3 gallons will last about 4 or 5 years!

    sounds delicious!

What a job to make those! I have never pickled anything before, but those sound like they would be something my husband would really like!
    The recipe would be great

I have posted the recipe under Bar B Qued Sweet Pickles. This recipe was my mothers and she had made them ever since I can remember and I am 67 years old. I think she got it from her mother. No telling how far back it goes. There is so much work in making them, that you tend to make hoard them and not give them away. Better than any you will find in a store!
