This was my project this summer. In spring I worked on my woodland garden area (Im sure I posted a pic of it somewhere...) The path has slight curves to it, looks odd from this angle haha The beginning of the path is going to be straightened a bit so I can put in an archway :)

This area is gonna be my project next spring :) I had an extra Cotoneaster sitting in a pot for a year and I finally planted it in this area a few months ago. Then I bought a Variegated Dogwood for my woodland area but decided the mature size would be too big for the area so I planted it in the corner. The white thing is a milk jug with a hole in the bottom to water is slowly and well. It seems to dry out fairly quickly  Maybe next year itll be better...

I put down a layer of cardboard then mulch. Left an edge of cardboard so I could overlap when I get more cardboard. Gonna be stocking up this winter :)

Russian Sage 'Little Spire' and Sedum 'Autumn Joy'. I think its Joy. Might be Fire. Lost the tag :/ Last spring, before we moved in (or back in for me) the neighbors put up a fence that I think was placed on part of the Sedum's crown. I was worried about it, but it doesnt seem to be affected any :) The plant in the pot is a Delphinium that was struggling along between the sedum and sage, maybe the soil was too dry. Seems to be recovering now.

Looks like you've been busy. It looks good. I'm stocking up on cardboard again too for some winter "clearing".
I've had a hummingbird moth hanging around lately, just not when I have my camera in-hand. You did good by getting it's picture.

I laid cardboard over the whole area in the first pic also. Took about 2 months to get the whole space done because 1) Im lazy lol and 2) couldnt afford all the mulch at once. The bf helped by buying a bunch of it, and even helped me finish the last 1/3 of it :) I had a few dandelions pop up, but I took care of those.

I often remember the hummingbird moths coming out in the evenings during the summer. We don't have them where we live now. Loved seeing the photo. You are ambitious getting all those beds created. Great job.
