The third one down (of the lighthouse) certainly has an eerie/ethereal quality about it. I really like it!! :-D The autumnal colours of the trees are beautiful in the river shot. You certainly live in a wonderful part of the world.
great picts. Your probably used to driving on the side of those mountain. me-I'd be a bit afraid. The light houses are gorgeous. The 5th pict are pretty fall colors as our colors are pretty much gone now.
Wow GG Lucky you to live in such a beautiful part of the world. That is a very scenic area. I love the colours, the mountains and the road snaking its way through the scenery. 8)
Beautiful landscape! Except from the fall colours, this could be any number of places around here. Your lighthouse is very pretty.
I haven't been out on the islands for years GG, sorry. But your photos really made me want to go again. I've got lots of photos posted in my blog, over there *waiving and pointing* Our town, from last November, mountains and meadows. I even think there's a slideshow of the (very bad) roads around here.
What beautiful shots GG, you really do live in a lovely part of the world. I love the shot of the waves breaking over the rocks. I have tried to capture this type of shot but never got one as spectacular as yours
I never tire of watching the sea and it's behaviour, despite the fact I've lived next to it for all my life. Maybe you've got too small waves?
I find the best shots are taken the day following a wind storm or tropical depression. The wind usually has died down a bit and the rain has passed but the storm surge remains in its full glory. Also a cloudy day is the best for most photography as well....sunny days usually result in "washed out" photos. Take care GG
I have been to coastal resorts with great waves Droopy, such as the South west of England, but it is just catching the wave at the best moment on film that I don't seem to have mastered yet. Thanks for posting those great photos GG....I am really inspired to do better :-D
It sounds like you have a camera requiring film....is that correct? If so, set up a tri pod and click away, use a high speed film and that should do the trick. Hope that is of some assistance to you. Take care GG
