Pics- spoiled dogs and wierd daylily bloom

also - i saw this daylily after work and i noticed it was growing from the base of the plant. anyone ever seen this before?
i thought it has fallen on the ground. nope its still attached.

 

I've never had one do that Courtney. Looks like the spike is malformed, but the blooms are pretty.

 

Lazy puppies and strange lily. All make interesting pics though.

 

I do love those dogs of yours.I never saw Lillies do that before.
