I would love to be able to grow amaryllis outdoors but our weather would kill them off. We can only buy the bulbs to grow indoors. Thanks for the lovely photographs Toni - a real treat for the eyes!!

Thanks for the nice comments. I really have never considered pink a good color but these are so pretty. I had never realized they couldn't be an outdoor plant until joining GS. A friend in south Florida had dozens of them in her garden and these have been doing so well...guess there are things about our 'too warm' weather that is special.
