This is a flowering bush in Grants Pass, Oregon park. My mother loves it and wants one. Appears to be a Lagerstroemia indica (Crape Myrtle, Crepe Myrtle) In most northern areas it is a shrub, but down here in the heat it grows to 20-30feet tall.
Yep... crepe myrtle. I got one for my mom that bloomed 3 different colors... pale pink, fushia and deep red.
