    Hosta pips! ( photo / image / picture from Kay's Garden )

Look what I found in my garage. This pot was tucked away under a shelf for the winter. I cleaned up all the leaves and mulch that was protecting the plant. Looks like this hosta is ready for spring too! I put it outdoors and gave it a big gulp of water today!

Kay, that is cool....but why would you keep them in the garage instead of in the garden for the Winter????? I leave them in my garden all Winter....

    Am I doing something wrong??????

That must have been a lovely surprise when you found those pips in the garage. They look strong and healthy and will have appreciated their drink and being outdoors now that spring has arrived.

These pips look so pale! They need a good dose of sun to get greened up! I have yet to see any coming up in the ground. That is something I really love! :stew1:

    Hosta pips! ( photo / image / picture from Kay's Garden )

Pips in my garden! This is my first sighting this spring. What a spring it is this year! Today it is in the 30°s and rainy and the wind is strong and bitter cold. I guess I should feel fortunate, some parts of my state had a nasty snowstorm yesterday.
Not very helpful for the landscaping business! The crews have been out working in a lot of inclement weather this year.
I was looking out the window at the soppy ground, and had to grab the binoculars to check what I was seeing! Hosta pips! Yea! I grabbed my jacket and headed outdoors to see them up close and add a handful of mulch to cover them up until the weather warms up!
