Looks good, but we really need the recipe so we can taste it. Licking the screen is just not working for me ;)

Donna, that does look delicious, and we would love to have the recipe posted!
However, I have a request. Please mess up your kitchen before posting a picture. I get depressed easily when I see gorgeous bread and no spilled flour, dirty pans, spoons laying all over. :smt086

    Pizza Bread Recipe

This bread is a meal in itself. We put slices with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese on them under broiler, or we just toast slices in toaster.
I roast the red pepper and do all the chopping before I start the bread. Sometimes the day before. As for the pizza ingredients use what ever you like. I don't always put in Italian sausage because I don't always have it on hand. This bread needs to be refrigerated.

Jane's Roasted Red Pepper Bread Recipe

    1 large red pepper
    2 TBSP. olive oil
    1 package dry yeast
    1 egg
3 cups flour + 3/4 cup for kneading
    cornmeal

Broil red pepper until skin blackens all over.
Cool enough to handle. Peel off skin and remove seeds. Cut into strips and chop.
Saute in 2 TBSP. olive oil with 1 - 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Let cool.

Stir 1 package yeast into 1 1/4 cups warm water.
    Let sit for 10 minutes.
    Stir in egg.
Stir in roasted red pepper & garlic.

    The pizza part

    Now add
    1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
    1/2 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
    1/4 cup mozzarella or more
    1/4 cup parmesan or more
    1 tsp. fennel seed
    1 tsp. hot pepper flakes
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage

Mix 3 cups flour with 1 tsp. salt.
Add to yeast mixture 1 cup at a time.
When dough forms a rough ball. turn onto floured board and knead for 8-10 minutes. Dough should be soft and elastic. Place dough in a piled bowl, cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour.
Turn dough out on floured board and knead briefly, about 10 turns. Cut dough in half and shape into loaves. Place in greased/cornmealed bread pans. Cover let rise again until double, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Jane, My kitchen is a mess. You just saw the clean spot:) Grandkids have been here today so I have crumbs and sticky everything and a sink full of dirty dishes that might still be there in the morning.
