Gave myself a mother's day present. Bought plants (viburnum) from Bluestone Perennials. Just ordered Tues. They came today and do they ever look good. Big plus sign for Bluestone!!!!

That is what I do. I buy myself rose bushes for Christmas [late of course] and my bday in the spring. No one else gives me roses, at least not often enough. This way I have them much longer.

After my Friend and I went to the New Orleans Botanical gardens last week end. I just had to buy some lavender and ferns, and two new salvia. A weird mix I know.

treating yourself at Christmas and your Spring Birthday is a nice little bonus,..though you will have to drop more hints for presents of roses, .

    Jan.C,
lol,..you as well treating yourself,..any excuse will do!.

    Netty,
good luck with the expected plant gifts from the kids!.

As for myself,..sigh!,..out of the running for Mothers Day,.. of course!,..and the kids have grown up and flown the coup,..but friends let me take cuttings, :)because when they visit they leave my garden with lots of cuttings in tow.

Well, this year I have one grown kid & spouse living back at home. He was with me when I bought some roses for myself 'because I rarely get any otherwise'... If that ain't a big huge hint, I don't know what is.
