I watered this morning and then took a few pictures. I deleted some but saved a few. I need to get a digital camera book and see if I can do a better job of editing pictures.
This is my Russian Sage. It isn't very tall but I had to cut it back quite a bit to find green this year. The drought wasn't so good for it last year.

This is a portion of my Rosemary bush. It's having flowers and bees right now. It's huge and it doesn't get much water at all. I cut it back by half last year because it was taking over the sidewalk and we couldn't get out the gate.

This is a part of one rose bush. It has a zillion buds on it

This plant is growing in the side yard. I'm not sure what it is but it has buds. There are about 20 of them. I dumped some wildflower seeds there last year but they didn't come up. Since there are more than a few I thought something grew this spring. Then, again, it might just be a weed. I'll see what the flower looks like.

and last, the purple iris's have bloomed.

Great herb picts. I guess I didn't realize that sage grew into a bush.
I just love rosemary, the aroma smells so good. I get some every year but have no luck with keeping it alive. Hope someone can help you with the 4th pict. I'm not sure what it would be. Again purple is my fav color so I deffinatly like your irises.

That rose bush is going to be a stunner when it blooms, I'm sure of it. Would be great to see an update photo of it when it does Dooley ;)

I love those Iris, wish mine would hurry up and bloom.

The plant in pic #4...I don't know for sure what it is but I have several in a large wooden planter where I had scattered some wildflower seeds last year. Mine are pretty close to blooming then maybe I will be able to tell you what they are.

That 4th pic mystery flower looks like it could be a cosmea to me.
The rest are just great. Things are really rolling there now, aren't they?

Great pics Dooley. The iris make me wish for mine but it'll be a while before I see them. I'm with Frank hoping for an updated pics of the rose bush when in bloom. Thanks so much for sharing. You brightened up my day for sure.

Pretty blooms Dooley. Could the plant in #4 be Cosmos or Nigella?

Love the iris, one of my favorites. Could your mystery plant be fennel?

I am leaning to the Nigella side for that plant. I have lots of Cosmos, both reseeding from last year and new seedlings I planted that don't look like that.
And I do seem to remember the list of wildflowers on the packet I planted including Nigella (Love In The Mist)

I also have Bronze Fennel and Sweet Fennel and neither looks like that.

One year I had a mutant cosmos and it looked like that Dooley, it got really large and never bloomed. The rest was normal.

It might be cosmos. Nothing much grows there. I've planted all kinds of things in there and nothing comes up and if I put plants there they die. dr says the people before us worked on cars and the soil may be too contaminated. I have added compost and manure and peat and nothing seems to help it. I feel like just putting more flagstone there and using potted plants and making it a patio area for sitting. dooley
