Planted broccoli and cabbage today.....

    just can't seem to get up to planting turnips. I've got another week or so before it is too late for that.

    I've got a small patch of the 'Aunt Polly's' Cape Gooseberrie's that volunteered. I've read that leaving them in the husk, will permit keeping them for an extended period. Experiment time.

    Good luck !! Are your rutabagas doing OK ? Its so hot here we have to wait till later to do root vegetables for storage.

    Thanks Mart, the rutabaga's should probably be lifted this weekend. The wife is having a baby shower for a friends daughter though. Too much estrogen for me to be around. Penny the JRT an I will go scouting for squirrel and deer I think.
