I'm looking for some nice flowers or some sort of plant to put around my tomatoes to keep the pesky squirrels out. I heard that planting tansy works but anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance :D

Wish i could help, but someone will be along to offer a solution. A long term solution is nut trees. I have filbert trees, so the squirrels never bother the garden...except I never get any nuts. :D The squirrels do plant the filberts all over the yard so come spring I do pull a few they missed during the winter.

The only squirrel defense I've found that works is to own a cat or a gun. We get ground squirrels occasionally. Our momma kitty keeps them at bay.

We have plenty of pecan trees. The squirrels have plenty to eat... they don't bother the garden or the bird feeders.
I also have a dog that loves to chase them.
I would be curious though if there are any plants that'll do the job too.
