I've been playing with my new camera and here are some of the results. Tom This Eagle has a fish that he or she just snatched from the water One of many Loons on the lake Signs of fall colors.
Capt. Kirk, The camera is a Sony, Alpha 300. 10.2 mega pixel, DSLR, with an 18 X 80 lens, and a 4 GB memory card. I'm going to get an 80 X 300 Lens, so that I can fill the frame with the subject even if it is as far away as the eagle in the picture above. The learning curve is long, but it's fun to use and I'm sure more fun as I learn more. My wife thinks I'm silly because I take it along when ever we go out. I'm really enjoying it. I've had it a little over a month and have 450 photos. Tom
I am so amazed at all the wonderful scenery around you .It must be wonderful to live there in the summer. All of your photos are wonderful and I'm glad you take your camera when you go out. Thanks for postinf those beautiful shots.
You are not silly, I have a canon rebel xt and it goes every where with me, even to church. All my friends know if they need pictures taken in an emergency at church just find me,lol. Continue taking it with you. You never know when you may need it.
Always a good idea to bring it along, you never know what you'll find to snap a photo of. Some of the best times to take a photo I've missed because I left it at home. Love the sunset pics by the way!
Oh Tom can I please pinch those gorgeous sunset photographs and the one of the eagle? Do keep taking the camera wherever you go as your pics are amazing and I want to see more - lots more!!!
Eileen, please help your self to any of the photos that you'd like. Thanks everyone, for the encouragement, I will take the camera along. Going to my 50th high school reunion this weekend, in the Milwaukee area, that should produce some interesting photos!! I may (or may not) want to post some of them. Coincidentally, Harley Davidson is celebrating their 105th birthday in Milwaukee also, which will add to the fun & photo ops. Tom
