    Id say a kind of Sparrow. Song Sparrow perhaps?

    Looks like a common sparrow. There are several different types.

    My female house finch has markings on the chest like that but so do other birds...let us know what you think it is after checking it out

    I Googled it and it is Song Sparrow. I am raising him for his nest was wrecked and 1 siblings were dead on the ground another died a few hours later and this one survived. I will get him eating independently and then release him slowly. He is doing very well now and cuter than a button.
