Please leave the caterpillars

    Please leave the caterpillars on your parsley, dill, or fennel alone. Our dill has quite a few of these:

    And in time and a bit more dill, the caterpillars will become this: Black Swallowtail 3.jpg
    A beautiful Black Swallowtail!

    Well said Jane. I hate it when folks say they've squished caterpillars or spayed them with pesticide.

    Heck, the cabbage white is laying eggs on my kale plants and if I don’t squish them, I will end up with no brassicas to harvest. I would never squish caterpillars on other plants, and in fact have a wild area in my garden with nettles in just for the flutterbyes
