Please name this light purple flower

    Hi, can someone tell me the name of this flower? I'm a photographer & would really like to know the name of this for my upcoming show! Thanks so much for your help.

    Could you tell us how big/small the plant is and what the leaves are like please? There are a few plants this could be and it would help us to help you if we had a little more info. Thanks.

    It's a Phlox, but as to what species I'm not sure.

    Thanks for your quick responses. Here's another angle which may be more helpful than the first. I found this plant at a city garden, so unfortunately I don't recall much other than what the pictures show. Thanks, I appreciate your help.

    Thanks for the second picture. I think it may be Phlox divaricata it's a member of the genus Phlox and is commonly known as Blue Phlox. :-D

    It's a Phlox subulata, I think - moss phlox. Shorter plant, flowers in mid- to late spring?

    Not subulata, the leaves on the second picture are too big for either subulata or douglasii. I would go for divaricata as suggested or possibly P. stolonifera.
