This was going around in e-mails...I love Brett and I hope he doesn't quit this year but this is so funny...it said he signed a long----------contract... How long will his strong arm last....LOL
He still has his hair right now but the date above his picture is 20035...a ways away to sign and still be playing..only a joke...he does not look that old in real life.... At 38 years old he does look mighty fine...He could be my son....
It's been quite a ride hasn't it?? How much more can we ask of the man?? I'm all for another year or 2, He might be older than George Blanda when he retires. I hope he quits a winner! He's my second all time favorite Packer player. Tom
:?: :?: :?: So...who's everyone rooting for in the Superbowl??? I don't like Manning, but I dislike Randy Moss even more. I've got my fingers crossed for New York!
I'm an old time fan of football, I hold a grudge, I hated the AFL, and hated it even more when we let them into the NFL, so I always root for an NFC team when playing against an AFC team. The only exceptions are Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, (formerly Baltimore )and Cleveland, they were in the NFL before the merger. So go Giants!!
to quote Brett "I couldn't care less, it's not us, so I just don't care" I guess if I had to choose, the only thing I'd like to see is Strahan win one. He's been on some really bad teams and always worked hard. I think he deserves it - the rest of the team???
Sherry8 - are you ok??? Have you looked at the Packers website? I think everyone here is wearing black tomorrow. the end of a great era.
Everyone here is "buzzing" about the news. He was a lot of fun to watch, and will be difficult to replace. I wish him the best of luck and hope he comes back as a coach or commentator.
Even though I'm from Texas I'm wearing black today! I've had a crush on Brett Favre since I've had crushes! My father and I used to watch every Packers game that we could, the niegbors thought we were athiests "Changing over from a Cowboys game to watch "cheeseheads"?!?! This is Texas for crying out loud!!" Lol, he never disappointed us, though. It's wonderful that he has had such a great career and I think it's been the love from his family and community that's kept him going in such a rough game so long, I was sorry to hear it was over.
We all new that this day was coming, and all I can say is, I feel very privileged to have gone along for the ride of a lifetime. From beginning to end, Bret has brought fun back to Packer football. Now I wish him and his family well in whatever comes next. Tom
He even has a loyal pack of followers way up here in the far northwest corner of the country. Glad he had a pretty good last season.
