Randy and I went to the Ham Radio club christmas dinner on Dec 14th and of course the centerpiece on all the tables was a Poinsettia. Being the only woman at our table, I was the one who got to take it at the end of the evening.

The only place I could find to put it where it would be out of the way and possibly get some light was in the north window in my computer/craft room..so there it has been for 1 month and 2 days. I water it when I remember it and have thought about moving it from that window sill when the temps have gotten down to freezing and the north wind has blown rattling that window but I have no place else for it.
It has only dropped 4 or 5 leaves and seems to be totally happy where it is.

Well done toni. Ours have long since collapsed and died.

I have 2 white poinsettias that still seem to be doing well. I plan on keeping the plants and getting them to flower by next Christmas. I have reading up on how to do this and will see what happens by the end of the year.

Looks better than ours. We have one that we got in December 2005 that had been doing very well until the last few weeks. I think I put it too close to the window and it got chilled. The leaves are falling constantly.
