I am new to this variety of pole beans. I also planted Emerite Pole Beans. I picked a peck this morning and cut them up, but before I could even blanch them, the cut ends started turning brown (I'm talking 15-20 minutes, tops) Why are the cuts looking brown? It is not appetizing......the beans are easy to grow, prolific! and taste great. I just never had beans turn brown so fast...... anybody else notice this? I have two raised beds, each 2' x4' .....I use a cattle panel ( 4' x 16' ) to make an arch between the two raised beds.
Those look really nice, and the vines frame your entrance very well. Really nice job! i don't know why they turn brown so quickly. I use so vitamin C solution for mine.
