This little guy has enjoyed the mild/cool weather lately. I believe it thinks it was Springtime.
It just may be the last of my bloomers for the year.

I took this one the other morning before leaving for work.

    That's a very pretty Canna.
Mine bloomed a few times in early June, played dead through the summer and I got a couple of sickly looking blooms in early October.

What a lovely, vibrant colour. With so many buds still to open I hope it adds colour to your garden for many days to come.

Toni.. you may remember that I got this plant earlier this year from the mark-down rack PLUS mis-labeled rack. The reason I bought it was because had a "Calla" marker in it. Oh no! It turned out to be another Canna (not that there's anything wrong with them... I was just wanting a Calla).
Anyhow...it seems to be a short Canna... barely a foot tall. And the color of it's blooms is so different from our "regular" orange ones.
Eileen... we're expected two nights of freezing or near freezing temps. It will be interesting to see how it does.

We are supposed to drop to 32degrees one or two nights too. But since the temperature isn't supposed to stay at freezing very long during the night they probably will be just fine.

A hard freeze (where the temperature is at 32 or below for several hours) will turn the leaves to mush...literally. They turn brown and mushy feeling and are difficult to cut off.
