Posing Hummingbird

    This was taken last summer....

    I was so close, I could have reached out and literally grabbed him!
    I stood in the same spot slightly hidden by a Rose of bush for about an hour, watching as he flew back and forth and then not seeing him for a while. Finally, I was able to get this "hurried" shot before the light was all gone :p

    Sorry it's a little blurry.

    Great shot! I've been unable to catch my little guys on film, but maybe I'm just not patient enough.

    Great capture...they are so quick. The only time I got one was by accident. It darted in when I was taking pictures of my garden ;)

    Yes, the shot was worth waiting for, even though my arms where getting pretty tired at times from holding the camera up to my eye like a statue so I wouldn't miss a decent close-up :p

    It's a female? I just assumed it was a male for some reason. I guess they can be told apart by their colors?
    A total of 3 hummingbirds come to that feeder and you should see the fighting that goes on! Very amusing little things to watch :stew2:
